Kindle Fire – Prepare To Have Your Jaw Dropped!

kindle fire

In a nutshell, you are not going to want to miss out on trying the Kindle Fire! It was only a matter of time until Amazon developed their incredibly successful Kindle into something more like an iPad. Hey presto, we have the Kindle Fire. Now, you’ll be able to do everything you could with your normal Kindle and more, such as watching TV, playing the latest cool games and fun apps, browsing the web, email and documents, all in stunning color.

Why’s It Going To Be So Good?

That’s right, the somewhat bland greyscale Kindle style is now an intensely rich Kindle universe with 16 million colors in high resolution. The 7” vibrant touchscreen will look and feel amazing and thanks to it’s IPS (in-plane switching) technology, it can be viewed at any angle. With the ability to download and view your latest magazines, having everything in the palm of your hand will never feel as exciting.

Movies, movies and more movies! The Kindle Fire will bring you thousands of new releases to download, stream, rent or buy all in full color and just at the touch of a button.

What’s Not So Good?

Very difficult to say, really, since the Kindle Fire combines the reading majesty of a Kindle with the versatility of an appliance like an iPad. It’s a wonder, though, whether this can really rival the dominance of the iPad.

Apple MacBook Pro – Is It The Best Laptop?

Apple MacBook Pro MD313LL/A 13.3-Inch Laptop

There’s no denying that Apple create some of the most innovative and robust pieces of technology out there on the market today. But, what really sets the Apple MacBook Pro heads above other laptops out there? Let’s take a look…

More and more people are buying MacBooks for their day to day home computing needs, whether it’s checking the bank account, logging on to Facebook and Twitter or doing the home shopping, but let’s not forget that these super machines were originally created with the designer in mind. This still holds true, but Apple are cleverly balancing the two markets out each time they create a new MacBook.

Being able to transfer your data nowadays is becoming more and more essential, with a lot more devices becoming generically compatible. With this instalment of the MacBook Pro, Apple have created Thunderbolt technology. In a nutshell, this revolutionary technology lets you transfer data to and from peripherals at lightning speeds (thunderbolt speed!), up to 20 times faster than normal. What’s more, this technology allows you to connect display adaptor devices such as your HDTV through an HDMI connection, allowing you to watch movies and photos stored on your MacBook on your home’s main television!

The transfer speeds mentioned above are backed up by the MacBook’s second generation Intel Core i5 dual-core processor – this top of the range technology is essential for whizzing around applications and software on your laptop. This processor automatically increases its speed depending on the workload you’re carrying out, whilst also allowing the possibility of the increasingly popular 3D gaming.

Yet again, Apple have outshone the competition with this fantastic product. We take our hats off to them and if they continue, we might not have any hats left! Let’s be honest, when have Apple launched a product in recent years which has not stood head and shoulders above the competition?

Acer Aspire One AO722-BZ454 Notebook – Don’t Miss This Opportunity!

acer AO722-BZ454

This Acer Notebook is a real head-turner and as you’re scanning your head along the endless rows of notebooks in a store, this is one of the few that will catch your eye. This is simply due to the ripple effect on its outside. OK, so not every laptop should be purchased for its look, but it’s definitely part of the puzzle. Keep on reading to see if it will suit your needs.

What Else Is Good Apart From The Look?

I’m sure you’ll be interested in its spec, so here are the key features:

  • AMD C-Series Processor (1.0GHz)
  • 2GB DDR3 RAM
  • 250GB SATA Hard Drive
  • 11.6” HD Widescreen LED display
  • ATI Radeon HD Graphics (256MB)

I could list all the specs, but these are the key ones you need to know about. Oh, you’ll probably be interested in the 7 hours’ worth of battery life, which is definitely above average for a notebook. With the specs above and its lightweight design, you’ll find your day-to-day tasks easy to handle on this brilliant piece of kit. It’s only 1” thin and weighs an easy 3lbs.

Throw in the 3 USB ports, multi-card reader and 802.11b/g/n wireless connectivity and you’ll find browsing the net, playing and accessing your media and chatting via instant messengers or Skype easier than ever.

To top this off, Acer are a great company to purchase from and the price of this stylish notebook most definitely won’t break your bank balance!
Anything Bad?

Well, this laptop might not be for everyone. It possesses some decent specs but if you’re looking for some high-end gaming then this isn’t the machine for you, unfortunately. It’s more of a browsing, email, chatting, handy-type laptop. Acer do make some good gaming laptops, though, so don’t let this deter you if that’s what you’re looking for.

Lenovo ThinkPad T60 1952-AP2 15-Inch Notebook with Docking Station

Lenovo ThinkPad

It’s hard to know whether buying a laptop from a manufacturer such as Lenovo is going to net you a decent machine or not, so let my review of the Lenovo ThinkPad T60 1952-AP2 make up your mind.

What’s Good About It?

Let’s take a quick look at the specs of this Lenovo ThinkPad before we go any further:

  • Intel CoreDuo T2400 1.83GHz Processor
  • 1GB DDR2 RAM
  • 60GB Hard Drive
  • Windows XP Pro Operating System
  • CD-RW/DVD-ROM optical disc drive

I’ll be honest, it’s not the greatest Laptop on the market, but chances are you’re looking at the Lenovo ThinkPad T60 1952-AP2 in the first place since you’re already interested in it. If you’re looking for a Laptop that you can log in to quickly, fire up the internet and check the latest news, browse facebook or update your blog, then this Lenovo product will definitely do the job.

The processor isn’t the quickest, however nor is it the fastest. Intel are well known for the excellent quality and the CoreDuo is an excellent range. At 1GB, the RAM is quite small, so be sure to not try and do too much all at once.

Having a 60GB hard drive will be plenty for you to store some documents on, as well as all your photos and videos from your holidays and ventures going back through the years. Add in the optical drive and you’ll find it very easy to burn your media onto discs, keeping your data stored safely.

What’s Not So Good?

Well, honestly, for starters Lenovo aren’t that well known and struggle to compete with the likes of Sony, HP and Acer. Although the specs, as discussed above, aren’t the lowest of the range, they’re still not very high. If you find yourself needing to multitask on the Lenovo ThinkPad T60 1952-AP2, the machine might struggle to handle these demands, especially if you’re trying to browse lots of different websites as well as watching a DVD and burning photos all at once.

The Toshiba Portege R835-P56x 13.3 Inch LED Laptop

People like to know that they can do work on the laptop. The laptop allows them some freedom and more. Well, if you are on the market, there are a few things that you need to know about the Toshiba Portege R835-P56x 13.3 Inch LED laptop that many are considering purchasing for themselves. Therefore, you need to read this review to see if it’s something for you. It might just be what you have been looking for. Here are some of the features which you need to know about.

Features:
• 13.3 wide inch screen
• 2.30 GHz Intel Cores Dual Core Processor
• 640 GB SATA hard drive
• 4GB DDR3 RAM
• Intel HD Graphics
• Wireless connectivity
• Built in stereo speakers
• Toshiba Media Controller

• Toshiba Reeltime
• Toshiba Eco Utility
• USB sleep and charge
• Hard drive impact sensor
• Up to 9 hours of battery life
• Energy Star 5.0 certified
• Gold EPEAT designation
• Rohs compliant

This computer comes with many pros and cons. What are these? These are the things you really need to know. The first thing is the pros that people have talked about. Many have said how they love how lightweight it is. Others love that it is so clean and much understated in design which makes it very professional looking. It is very sturdy as well which makes it built to last. The battery life is good. Most say on average they can get seven in a half hours on this battery. The best part is that the battery has no bulge.

However as to anything, there are some things that some might not like. For instance the screen isn’t all that which they try to make it out to be. The thing one person has found is that it’s very narrow in vertical angling. The black makes it look dirtier than it really is so you spend quite a bit of time cleaning it. These are all things that you can look past, but the performance of this despite the industrial smell and the black color is great which makes this a five star laptop no matter what you are going to use it for. We have found that many are using this as it is so business savvy. It’s upper scale and it’s worth the price you would pay for it.
